Huijing Han

The music and light membranes depict the birth, growth and metamorphosis of a caterpillar into a butterfly. This symbolizes the transformation of the modern woman – from dependence to independence, from innocence to self-respect and self-love, which finally blossoms into the power to love others.

Composed by musician Huijing Han, the piece combines electronic music and piano music and is characterized by a free-spirited style and improvised performance. The light membranes by artist Loudwig are a reflection and allow music and light to merge in mutual inspiration. The light membranes are more than just a light show that fills the room. Through live interaction with the music, sound and image merge into a unified artistic creation.
