Zhiyuan Luo (Guzheng) and Yu-Yin Lin (Piano)

Expect an evening of Chinese film music, where the Guzheng meets the Piano. Katerina Zhiyuan Luo (gu) and Yu-Yin Lin (p) will take you on a journey of two sets in the intimate atmosphere of Gallery Under The Mango Tree, where an exhibition of Tamil Sri Lankan artist Sivasubramaniam Kajendran worlds the context between Europe, south and east Asia.

Katerina Zhiyuan Luo is a Chinese-born Guzheng musician and scholar whose work lies at the intersection of traditional Chinese music, intercultural dialogue, and contemporary aesthetics. Rooted in the classical Guzheng tradition and expanded through academic research, her music is more than sound—it is an expression of poetic connection across time and cultures.

Yu-Yin Lin was born in Taipei, Taiwan. She completed her concert examination in piano at the Martin Luther University Halle-Wittenberg in the class of Prof. Jochen Köhler and is a prizewinner of several international competitions.
