INDIA SALON #2

The rising importance of India as a geopolitical and economic partner of Germany and Europe is already clear (er) in the last years. There is still a large scope to share knowledge and thus create new opportunities both for economic and social relationships. Through joint event series with Konrad Adenauer Foundation, Berlin we aims at providing a broader insight into the complexity of modern Indian society.

Organising the INDIA SALON #2 – Climate resilience and Sustainable Urban Design, an event series during the exhibition- Earth, Water, Air, Life. MANAGING HOPE- of the renowned Indian photographer Amit Pasricha, we aim to draw attention to the Indian heritage and at the same time address the present-day continual steps being taken or those that are in process in the face of sustainable living in India. Firmly believing that the Indian stories need to be told by the Indians or those, with intent in India, we are convinced that in order to attract many- old and young towards the panorama of Indian contemporary reality, we need to redefine the understanding of the sub-continent and view it as a complete living ecosystem that it is. Topics here to be discussed are Heritage, Mobility, Sustainable architecture & Urban development, and sustainable food.
