PAINTING TO THE PIANO

Huijing HAN is a prize-winning steinway artist from Shanghai, China. Born in 1982, her musical path started when she began to learn piano when she was three and half years old. She studied at the Hochschule für Musik ‘’Hans Eilser’’ Berlin and University of Arts Berlin. She gives recital and concerts often in China, in Italy, in France and in Germany (in Frankfurter Musik-Messe, Tribuehne Hamburg, Mecklenburg Festspiele, Konzerthaus Berlin etc.) and together with Conductor Mr. Michael Helmrath, Mr. Christian Ehwald etc. Her concerts were broadcasted by German „Radio 3“ and “RBB”. From 2016 she has been a piano teacher at the University of Arts Berlin.

Lavia Lin is an abstract artist from Shanghai, China. Her love for music was born in the family owned live-music venue, being exposed to music both ways, analogue-and live- with bands performing on stage, have inspired her to explore different ways of expressing music through painting. Lavia first began performing as a live painting artist together with Italian band Satoyama in 2017, where she made improvised paintings to their live music performances. Lavia converses with her fellow performers using her own musical instruments-paints and brushes. She has since then, performed with international music artists with the aim of bringing together different cultures through the medium of art and music.
