The present world of art production and aesthetics is global and cultured by circulation and flows of ideas, narratives, and artists themselves.South Asian contemporary art, keeps its own identity and is present in that „third Space“ that Homi K. Bhabha speaks of, a space in which various notions of art are negotiated. While Indian art is much widely accepted in New York & London, Berlin being the art capital has yet to experience this. This discussion addresses the relationship between India, artists, art production, and the German audience – and explores the possibilities of exposure, beyond the Biennales, at local levels to initiate the process of acceptance and how its presence, could also create
(peaceful) bridges.
